Transformation: Bringing an Old Seaside Bungalow Back to Life. In the spring of 2007, Jeff Schwartz, who has had a home in southern Maine for 24 years, was approached about a neglected old bungalow on a very special piece of land. The prior owners were four siblings and their spouses and, as is often the case, these people from different parts of the country and with different life priorities could not agree on how to care for and maintain this tired old bungalow they had inherited from their parents. It was overgrown, dark and cramped on the inside and had fallen into general disrepair. All of the improvements made over the years were piecemeal and not in harmony in any way. I’m a bit of a carpenter.” Zumiez: “When did you get the most high fives? Erik Ellington: “I don’t really do that all that much, but Moose did something pretty crazy on tour so I was giving everybody a big high five because he did something so gnarly. so I guess that was the most recent thing.” Zumiez: “What is your most valued possession?” Erik Ellington: “This is my fathers ring. He’s passed away now. he left that for me. Thats a pretty valuable possession I guess. THIS is my grandfather’s graduation ring, and then these are my wedding rings so those are pretty valued.” Zumiez: “what job other than pro skateboarder would you try?” Erik Ellington: “I always like to draw and design things, from when I first started skating i always liked to draw a jump ramp, and a fun box and all this stuff, so that kind of progressed into wanting to draw house plans and stuff. I don’t know, maybe architecture. I’d like to design stuff to skate. Buildings, with skateable stuff. I don’t know, its a pretty stupid answer.” Erik Ellington …
